At Westbrook, we adapt to what each individual child needs—no generic learning plans here.

If you have multiple children in your family, you know that three kids can mean three personalities, three learning styles, and three very different approaches to education—even if they have the same genetics and the same upbringing!

At Westbrook, we know that one plan doesn’t necessarily fit every child—even within the same family.

We’ve worked with siblings, twins, and triplets, and we wouldn’t assume that the same approach will work for all of them. We get to know each child: their strengths, their challenges, their goals, and their schedule. Then we build the support around them.

And that support can grow and change, too.

The plan isn’t set in stone.

Our work grows and changes with a child. Year to year, we adjust the tutoring team and the plan around each student’s strengths, challenges, goals, and schedule.

A child’s needs in October may look different by January—and we pay attention to that.

Sometimes a student needs a different tutor. Sometimes the focus needs to shift. Sometimes a teacher spots a weakness that needs attention right away. When that happens, they can email us directly, and we can bring that information to the tutor working with the student so we can address it promptly.

We take responsibility for keeping the bigger picture in view.

Learning doesn’t stop when life gets busy.

And families are busy.

Children have sports, music, travel, and plenty of other commitments. That’s real life—and learning has to fit into it.

With a mix of in-person and online lessons, we can keep learning going when a family is away for work, a holiday, or a sporting event. The goal isn’t to make your family’s schedule fit tutoring. It’s to make tutoring work within your family’s life.

This is something Westbrook has done for years, but we’re excited to take on an even broader role in our students’ education.

Families can bring us the bigger picture and trust us to help coordinate the support their children need. We’ll work alongside you and your children, keep refining the plan, and take real responsibility for pursuing the best outcome for each student.
