About Us

I’m Nicole Huntley.

As the founder and CEO of Westbrook Tutoring, it’s my job to ensure that every family experiences the Westbrook difference: personalized, relationship-oriented tutoring that delivers exceptional results.

I’m deeply passionate about eductation. My goal is to take the burden of academic management off your plate, so you can step back knowing that someone experienced is actively overseeing not just tutoring sessions, but your student’s broader academic organization, consistency, accountability, and momentum.

I only hire the best tutors who are experts in their field. After I understand your family’s needs, I will personally match your child to a tutor that fits your needs, subject matter, and your budget.

My team and I are honoured to be part of your child’s educational journey.

A Legacy of Excellence

Dr. J. Alan Gilbert, father of Westbrook CEO Nicole (Gilbert) Huntley, was born in Scotland in 1918, and left behind a legacy of dedication, commitment, and respect.

He was renowned as an exceptional clinician and a devoted mentor to medical students and residents. After completing his studies at the University of Edinburgh, he served in the Canadian Army during World War II. Settling in Edmonton, he started a private practice and later became a faculty member at the University of Alberta Hospital.

Dr. Gilbert's teaching spanned over 36 years, impacting more than 2000 medical students with his remarkable bedside patient care approach. His passion for medical education garnered national and international recognition, receiving numerous accolades and awards including recognition as a Master of the American College of Physicians.

His enduring legacy continues to inspire students, staff, and faculty at the University of Alberta, Harvard Medical University, across the US, Canada, and Europe.

Passion for Education

The scope and merit of Dr. Gilbert's work have earned him fellowships and accolades including several Teacher of the Year awards and the establishment by the University of a Chair in Medical Education in his name.

On April 17, 1997, Dr. Gilbert was a recipient of the Order of Canada for his service in the field of medical education.
