About me
My name is Lorne Rusnell. Following a long and successful career in the classroom, I have been with Westbrook for almost ten years. It has been my privilege to teach young people mathematics and physics for over thirty years now.
My first degree was in Engineering Physics and that has provided me a deep understanding of my subject matter. I am passionate about helping students achieve their goals; whether it be to help a struggling student to gain confidence (and perhaps even to excel), or to help an already great student to become elite. I currently teach students from grade one all the way through to second-year university.
In addition to academics, I am providing enrichment in other pursuits; sparking interest in chess, backgammon, quizzing, and mathematics contests. I have always tried to develop a caring relationship with my students, and this aligns perfectly with Westbrook, inevitably producing the best possible results.
